Participant Profiles
Each month I will be posting one of my class participant’s profiles so that you can see the different types of people that can enjoy Fitness Ballet. Select a photo below to view that participant's profile.
Name: John Reginald Adams
Age: 66
Occupation: Engineer and Archaeologist
Life History:
Born in 1940 into a sporting family. Enlisted into the army at 16 where I served for ten years and played many sports. During this time I learned to play guitar, bass and became a songwriter.
Worked in industrial maintenance for the next ten years before moving into further education as a maintenance engineer. Took redundancy in 1992 and began a part-time degree course in archaeology. In 1998 I began work for Canterbury Archaeological Trust and in 2005 I decided to continue to work part-time for this local unit.
How long have you been participating in the Fitness Ballet class?
Approximately 9 months.
Why did you attend a Fitness Ballet class?
I had attended a ballet-based sports injury programme in 1990 and thought that this class would help me regain some of my flexibility.
What benefits has it given you?
Even though I have been carrying a foot injury for nearly six months, (sustained elsewhere), I must admit that my sense of balance and flexibility has improved.
Would you recommend to others?
Yes!
